We are displaying the names of the veterans from our class this week.  The children will take a study guide on the chapter on Native Americans this week.  Next Tuesday, we will  take a test about them. A study guide will go home today. We will play some games on Indians. Reports on Native American Nations are due on Nov. 15..

Veterans' Day
By Joyce P. Hale

For freedom of our speech each day,
for the right to worship as we may;
to choose to vote a yea or nay,
to study and work in our chosen way;
to respectfully the laws obey,
and protest the ones that cause dismay;
so we may speak what we would say,
they left their homes and joined the fray;
on far-away shores they trod their way,
to keep the freedoms we have today.
For those who fought for freedom I pray....
and thank the Vets on Veterans' Day!
