The Physics of
Simple Machines
You're about to enter the world of simple machines. They're called simple because their simple technology is used to make the more complex machines, gizmos and gadgets. They help make our everyday life a little bit easier. So put on those hard hats and set your minds in gear for a fun filled exploration!

The following are sites that I have found very useful for background information for both children, parents and teachers.
Edheads Simple Machines

Simple Machines Learning Site
On this site you will find information and activities for the students to use. There are additional links at the bottom for ideas, resources, and lesson plans.

Machines Make Life Easier Learn how simple and compound machines help with our everyday life.

Simple Machines Construction Site
"Grab your hard hats, boys and girls! You're about to visit work sites that will help you learn more about simple machines." This site is just too cool! There is a teacher's guide, as well as, a student guide. This is another classroom tool for student interaction.
